An aromatic wine (Alvarinho is Albariño), still a little zesty but slightly more sweeter than a Sauvignon Blanc.
Matthew Jukes, MoneyWeek
… Does the same trick with the more expansive and expressive Alvarinho grape (Albariño in Spain), and this loads a little more exoticism and creaminess onto the palate, making this a stunning main course offering.

Open and scented with bright citrus fruit, just a touch of spice and fresh pears, subtle clementine fragrance. In the mouth, the main impression is fresh pears, both in flavour and texture (a slight grip). Seems a little more complex than the Loureiro, more layered. Fresh and balanced even with the higher alcohol here and a gentle bitterness on the rounded finish.
