TASTING NOTES

Loureiro/Alvarinho, Alvarinho, Azevedo, Portugal: Great reviews online, a complex wine that sits between a sauvignon blanc and an albarino. Brilliant value for money.

Vermentino / Ansonica, Terre del Buontalenti, Italy: Tuscan winner. Citrus of a sauvignon blanc, but herby, minerality adds layers not found in a wine under £15.

Bonarda, Altos Las Hormigas, `Colonia Las Liebres` Argentina: Malbec, but not. Dark stone fruit immediately, not super dry, taste that fruit.

Dolcetto D'Alba, G.D. Vajra,Italy: Regular 90+ points in ratings - for that price?? A red you might never have tried.

Rose, Circulade, Cinsault, France: Summer says rose, but go off-piste. Slightly sweeter and a bit more body in this rose.

Prosecco, Rialto, Frizzante+, Italy: Gentle sparkle witn Italian charm, lightly sparkling, with soft orchard fruits, refreshing.
