Pinot Noir, Jean-Claude Boisset, Bourgogne `Les Ursulines`, France

16 points reviewd by Jancis Robinson MW
Smells both ripe and fresh and really succulent, like biting into a ripe red cherry. Pure-fruited, serious in its dry tannin structure. Real burgundy at a (relatively) decent price.

The Jean-Claude Boisset Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Ursulines has garnered notable critical acclaim, particularly for its 2019 vintage:

  • Wine Enthusiast (Roger Voss): Awarded 90/100, praising its "richly textured" profile with "succulent red fruits," fine tannins, and aging potential.

  • Natalie MacLean: Described the 2021 vintage as "bright and fresh" with cherry-raspberry notes, "subtle oak," and a smooth, medium-bodied palate.

  • Vivino Community: Rated 4.0/5 (based on 4,278 reviews), highlighting its "leathery, oaky" character and food-friendly versatility
