The 2022 Grenache Smart Vineyard is beautifully composed, opening with generous and fleshy aromas of red cherry, mulberry and roasted meats with touches of Asian spice and dried herbs. It has an excellent volume of fruit with ample structure, too, which is a key feature. This is quite complete, with chalky tannins providing definition. It has excellent length and finishes with good energy. The 2022 is built to last and shows the class of this hallowed site.

The 2023 Grenache Smart Vineyard is detailed with aromatic roasted redcurrant aromas topped by red clay and wintergreen touches. Strong earthy tones melt in the mouth with a robust frame of tannins and acidity. This is a chameleon that will take some time to hit its straps.
