From a shale vineyard exposed to strong southeasterly winds. Vivacious and deeply concentrated. Grippy, textured and very serious, not unlike its counterparts in the northern Rhône. There's a gravel-like tension to the tannins and a savoury verve pulsating beneath. Black pepper and violet notes provide lift.
