First introduced to us by Matt, who found it in one of Tom Kerridge's restaurants as a Banana-tini, we added it to cocktails or drank it neat / with coke where it went down a storm (eh ladies!).

The Banana rum continues to pick up some serious medals, so others find it a winner too.

The team from Discarded Spirits specialises is using ingredients that would otherwise go to waste to create lip-smacking spirits, like its Banana Peel Rum!

It features a base of Caribbean rum which has been matured in whiskey casks, but then it's infused with banana peels for two weeks to impart a whole load of fruity, estery deliciousness. 

Aroma

Banana bread, treacle, cinnamon, butterscotch.

Taste

The banana bread nose gives way to banoffee pie on the palate, with notes of sticky toffee pudding, fudge and milk chocolate raisins.

Finish

A warming crystalized ginger.
