The Story

A distillery exclusive from The House of Botanicals in Aberdeen, Cioccolato is produced by infusing a proprietary botanical spirit with Peruvian cacao butter, Madagascan vanilla bean, Ceylon cinnamon bark, and toasted Brazilian cacao nibs. Juniper berries and cane sugar round out the recipe, resulting in a cacao butter liqueur that’s indulgent yet refined. At 25% ABV, it’s designed for sipping, mixing, and sharing.

The Taste

First impressions? Clear in the glass, but full of aroma. A gentle coconut note drifts in, giving way to soft perfume and a silky mouthfeel. That butteriness is the star — so rich and smooth you might joke about rubbing it in rather than drinking it. But one sip proves that would be a waste.

It’s sweeter than the rest of the Pietro Nicola range, but in a way that feels balanced. Vanilla brings creaminess, cinnamon a gentle spice, and toasted cacao nibs a roasted depth. The finish is smooth, lingering, and warming, with just enough bitterness to keep it from being cloying.

How To Drink It
